The PAX Fellowship includes three modules that explore your unique voice, vision, and vocation.
The first module focuses on self-understanding and spiritual grounding: understanding our place in God’s great story of peace and justice. The second module explores your particular gifts and calling, and the third module includes vocational planning and a hands-on project to grow your skills and experience. Throughout the fellowship, you will be supported and advised by outstanding Christian leaders, teachers, mentors, and spiritual directors.
Develop an understanding of how to pursue justice and peace based on your unique story, gifting, and personality.
Develop a vision for life rooted in the story of God and the work of Jesus.
Develop a plan to achieve your next big vocational step alongside others.
To make the fellowship as meaningful as possible, we have created four specially designed tracks for fellows interested in four different vocational areas. Each fellow will participate in one of the following tracks, with its own mentors and its own cohort. Fellows will also have regular opportunities to engage with peers in the other tracks.
For those who want to explore a career in the digital arts (including graphic design, illustration, photography, videography, etc.) or new artists who create on digital software and platforms with less than five years of professional experience in the field.
Learn how to incorporate faith, justice, and the social good into your art, and how to stay spiritually grounded amidst the hustle. This track is led by experienced artists from PAX and thriving BIPOC artist-mentors.
For those exploring a vocational path in social entrepreneurship and want to bring a start-up project to life, or those in the early stages of launching a social-impact business.
Gain practical tools to design and pitch your start-up project, and begin building it from a grounded place of identity and contemplative spirituality. This track is led by experienced executive coaches from Homily, an organization for coaching and community for entrepreneurs who care about the common good.
For those who want to explore a writing career (across any genre, including nonfiction, fiction, and poetry) or new writers with less than five years of professional experience in the field.
Build up your spiritual resilience, storytelling skills, and professional portfolio as communicators of God’s shalom in a challenging industry. This track is led by experienced writers and editors from PAX staff and BIPOC professionals in publishing.
For survivors of trauma who want to learn how to share their stories in a way that honors their full selves and contributes to the healing of community.
Learn the process of telling your stories through an artistic lens: practice your voice as creatives; reflect on healing; adapt spiritual methodologies; and recognize the redemptive power in storytelling. This track is led by experienced survivor-advocates from the nonprofit Freely in Hope.
